About Us

In 1989, Dennis and Jennifer envisioned a family-run renovation business. From that incorporation, D.O.J. Construction has completed everything from small home renovations such as bathrooms and minor repairs, to larger projects such as complete kitchen, basement, and office renovations.

D.O.J. works with other construction companies, providing quality craftsmanship as subcontractors for large construction projects. These projects have included the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Manitoba Legislative Building, Red River College, and the University of Winnipeg.

Dennis has worked in the construction industry since 1979, honing his craft with foundation renovations, property maintenance, and custom-built homes. He served in the Canadian military communications reserves as a military lineman for 10 years. He has also attended various training at Red River College and other institutions including construction management.  His unique understanding of the older home systems has been much sought after.   Jennifer developed management and design skills through Red River College and completed its Drafting/CAD program. The next generation – Chester, Kaitlin and Devin – have contributed to the business working on weekends, summer jobs and after high school graduation.  Chester has since pursued a career in computer programming but continues to help the company with his knowledge and expertise.  Kaitlin and Devin are pursuing Carpentry apprenticeships. Kaitlin attained a Fine Arts degree with honours from the University of Manitoba that complements D.O.J.’s design services. Devin has expanded his practical experience working on the provincial Keeyask Project and working with a local roofer.

D.O.J. hires skilled tradespeople who are licensed and insured to protect you and your property. We will ensure you are satisfied with your renovation project from start to finish.
